Got th this tip from a fellow blogger/musician. It’s a documentary about the entertainment industry today and all the changes it’s going through, and where it’s headed. Both depressing and inspiring! Kind of made me a bit teary eyed to think that in my lifetime the music industry has changed so much that I nolonger have to be signed to a major label in order to have my music heard around the world… All I need is my portable recording studio, an online marketing plan and a small budget, and the world is at my feet!
At the same time, now that everyone around the world has the same capabilities that I have, it will be more difficult to break through the noise and be able to sustain it. Should everyone really be allowed to be an artist if we’re all competing in the same forums?
